Doenjang or soybean paste is a type of fermented bean paste made entirely of soybean and brine used in Korean cuisine. It is also a byproduct of soup and soy sauce production. It is sometimes used as a relish.

Its main ingredients are soybean and brine, often, it is brewed along with ganjang.

Soy paste has evolved to become far more than just a dipping sauce. Many home cooks like throwing it into long braises to add rich savour. It can also be utilized as a glaze on barbecued meats, or tossed into stir-fries. 

Keep in the fridge and use within 3 months.
